This film brought back memories of when a parent approached me after meeting with their child's principal about the child's test results showing Dyslexia. The principal essentially said the child was out of luck, as teachers were only just starting to receive LETRS training at that time.

In my view, rather than telling the student they were out of luck, the principal should have responded, "Currently, we lack the resources to assist students with Dyslexia, but let's explore our options and see how we can support your child's needs."

Parents shouldn't have to struggle so much for public education rights.
